Casa Lanz is the ideal place to stay if you are visiting Campeche. It is right in the heart of the city -literally just a few meters from the main square- but at the same time it is quiet and peaceful, you can relax and rest there and forget that you are in the city center. The hotel itself is in a beautiful old house which has been tastefully renovated and manages to maintain a certain charm from the past while offering all the modern commodities. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean, with air-conditioning units and hot water, there is a fully-equiped kitchen with cold potable water, coffee and tea, that you can enjoy in the lovely patio, and you can also borrow a bike and visit the city. Plus, the owners are amazing people, very kind and helpful.

Highly recommended! I stayed at this beautiful hotel last summer. The hotel rooms are very luxurious inside, and it is located right in the stunning center of Campeche. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I had accidentally taken the keys with me after my stay, and after quickly contacting the hotel staff, they arranged for me to return the keys to the hotel without any hassle or extra costs.

This hotel is the best accommodation you can find in downtown Campeche. It’s an eight-room historical house in the very heart of the center, each room is well equipped with air conditioning, mirrors, extra blankets, and its own private room. The common areas are an open living room and a tiny kitchen with the necessary (a fridge, a stove, a sink and cabinets). The location is perfect if you want to find restaurants, shopping stores very close to the house; it’s only a five-minute walk. The only inconvenience is that it doesn’t have a parking area, so you have to leave your car parked on the road which can be a little bit dangerous due to accidents or robberies. I recommend the place because of the cheaper price and the facilities.

This is a 400 year old house that has been modernized but keeps many of the old features. I could hear water in the well in the central courtyard but you won't need to use it. The shared kitchen has instant hot and cold purified water as well as other kitchen amenities. While the website says that no staff will be present, a most helpful young man, Fahrucio, was there during the day. There are steps, including steps up to our room. Not a lot, but something of a challenge for my husband with mobility issues. We heard no street noise but the chairs in the common area are loud when moved. It's really a lovely house and the location can't be beat. A problem we had was no hot water in the shower. We reported the problem and a crew came to work on it. By 10 at night it was working but by morning the water was "not cold" at best. Having lived in a 100+ year old house we understand plumbing problems but it was frustrating.We really appreciated the response of the owners. An interesting home and we'd likely stay there again.

The hotel looks great. The only problem I've had is that there was some strong smell in the room that I could not identify.

Beautiful rooms in an traditional style stone villa. Excellent air-conditioning. Great location. No coffee or tea unfortunately unless you bring it yourself and make it in the shared kitchen. The house is kept traditional with beautiful local art and artisan work, but the rooms are not well isolated, so you can hear the other guests in the hotel very well.

It was great to have a chance to meet the son of the owner, Jasson and the rest of family and get a tour of such a historic place. This property you are going to stay dated back to 1600 so with a charm of welcoming Mexican family, you will definitely love this place. Right in the corner street of main square, you have all the action few steps away. I personally enjoyed the room which in the old time served as the kitchen.
